It's my favorite time of year, its time to crown a high school state champ in both boys and girls basketball in the next couple of weeks! Do the Washington Warrior girls and the O'Gorman boys have what it takes to repeat?
The "second season" tips off tomorrow night (Monday, Feb 28th,11) around the state of South Dakota. Here are my picks for the first night. In District 1: OGorman beats Brookings and Roosevelt beats Watertown. District 2: Washington wins over Lincoln and Yankton squeaks past Brandon Valley. District 3: Mitchell handles Pierre and since Aberdeen Central is at home they beat Huron. District 4: RC Stevens takes down Sturgis and RC Central beats Spearfish.
It should be a great night of basketball around the state. Listen to 99.1 FM for up to the minute scores and play by play with Brad Peterson. Good luck to all the teams, players and coaches and their quest for a state title.
